Sometimes I have semen in my urine – is it normal?
Question:
Hello, I am Victor, 35 years old male living in Madrid, Spain. Sometimes I see semen in my urine. Is it normal? I am worried. Should I consult my physician? I don’t smoke and don’t drink alcohol. I also don’t have any conditions. I feel healthy.
Doctor’s answer:
Hello, Victor. Semen in urine is usually a normal condition. It can happen after masturbation.
It can also be connected with Retrograde Ejaculation, which is a condition when semen instead of coming out of urethra goes back in to the bladder.
Semen in urine could also be caused by a lot of other conditions. I suggest you to schedule an appointment with your physician for deeper evaluation. At least urine examination is advised. Don’t worry, it doesn’t seem to be a serious condition.
Regards and best wishes.
