Sometimes I can’t ejaculate when having sexual intercourse.

Question:

Hello, my name is Patrick, I live in Paris, France.

Problem: During past 4-5 months I’ve started having troubles with sexual intercourse – I either even can’t climax and ejaculate and I just stop or it takes much longer and more efforts than it used to earlier.

I have been taking Paxil 20mg per day for the past 20 months.

I do not suffer from any serious disease. Masturbation doesn’t help – it’s still almost impossible to ejaculate.

Doctor’s answer:

Hello, Patrick.

Looks like your problem is related to Paxil. Ejaculation disorders are among Paxil’s reported adverse effects.

Side effects may appear at any time of taking medicine and may not be prominent from the very beginning.

You should consult your physician and discuss with him the possibility of switching to another medicine. He might prescribe you some herbal natural remedies, which do not cause any side effects because they consist of all-natural components only, without any harmful chemicals.

My best wishes.

I am 39 years old and I have a very strong libido. My girlfriend and I have a very very strong sex life and she has orgasms after orgasm where as I can’t ejaculate at all. I can just stay hard all day long. Now I am sure a lot of guys would love this problem, but it gets a little maddening. I have not come in almost a year now. I take a lot of meds including Lexapro for my depression. I suffer from Bipolar and I need my mood stabilizer and I was wondering if Lexapro was affecting my ejaculating issue. Could someone please help me because I am so tired of faking my orgasm with my girlfriend. I know that she is the right one for me. So I know that it is not a psychological problem.
    thanks
