I have problems with achieving and maintaining an erection. I also have painful urination and my semen is yellow-colored – I suppose it’s abnormal. What are the causes of all that?

Hello, Andrew.
The yellow color of semen is usually caused by one of the following reasons:
1) When semen mixes with urine. It is completely normal and happens sometimes.
2) Your sperm can also become yellow if you have high sperm count and haven’t had sexual activity (with ejaculation) for a long time. If so, the discoloration could be caused by the buildup process of semen.
If you are unable to attain and maintain the erection, it means that you are probably suffering from male impotence (erectile dysfunction). It could be caused by several conditions:
- high blood pressure
- Diabetes
- thyroid disorder
- heart disorder
- low testosterone level
- others
It also could be caused by some of the following medications:
- beta-blockers
- heart medications
Alcohol abuse and excess nicotine can cause impotence as well.
You should also have some tests done: nocturnal penile tumescence and penile ultrasound.
You should also give a try to some herbal products, such as VigaPlus or CaliPlus.
