I am 30 y.o. and I have problems with premature ejaculation

We received this question from 30 y. o. male who asked for some sexual health related help.

“Hi, guys. I am Jimmy and I need help. I have problem with premature ejaculation. I ejaculate to fast and cannot control or delay the ejaculation, especially when I don’t use condom during sexual intercourse. I tried to help myself and by using desentizing gels and sprays but I don’t think this is appropriate long-term solution. I am pretty sure that the problem is not of mental nature. It seems that the head of my penis is very sensitive when it’s erected. I have to add I’m I am uncircumcised – could it be the reason of the problem?

Please, help! I can’t lead normal sexual life, PE affects my relationship with my girlfriend. Is there a really working solution? Looking forward to any help or advice.”

Dear Jimmy! We have good news for you – most of the premature ejaculation problems have a psychological background. Off course, sex is based upon the perceptive reaction of the body but with a color of sensual response based on the mentality of the person. So that makes me believe that your problem indeed is related to anxiety. Anxiety during sexual intercourse. During sex you should be relaxed. Try taking deep breaths or start counting 1-10 or more to divert your mind and attention and never allow your mind get preoccupied with any sexual thoughts.

Some kind of weight training exercises have been proved to reduce the sensitivity of the head of the penis – you should start doing them on a constant basis. Please try not to masturbate, and accept more healthier, light and simple every-day’s diet.
