Are there any possible harmful side effect of Viagra pills?

Hello. I am Bob – a man having mild problems with erection. Sometimes it’s weak and I can’t maintain it for as long as I want.

I went to my doctor and after some tests he said that the cause of my ED is of psychological nature and that I just have to try to be more relaxed and confident. He also advised me to try Viagra 50mg pill.

I am going to do it, but I’m worried about possible Viagra side effects. I have heard that they sometimes could be severe, including loss of vision! The doctor assured me it was very unlikely to happen but still I am worried and concerned. What would you recommend?

Viagra (Sildenafil Citrate) belongs to a group of drugs called PDE5 inhibitors. Indeed they have many possible side effects and should only be used when prescribed by doctor.

Side effects can range from mild to severe and include headaches, dizziness, priapism (pathologically long erection), nasal congestion, visual disturbance and many other. There are even vision loss cases reported!

PDE5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis and Levitra) are contraindicated to patients who take nitrates and alpha-blockers.

Having said all that I insist that PDE5 inhibitors can only be taken under a careful doctor’s attention.
